Most of the homes for sale in this area are in Sprecklesville, Paia, and the early part of the Road to Hana which is technically Haiku. Style abounds on Maui's Northshore with many luxury properties and beautiful homes in this area. Learn more about Paia Real Estate.

Most people who are first looking at moving to Maui don't include the Upcountry area in their search, they want to be closer to the beach. But, after living in Maui for several years, the upcountry area becomes more and more attractive with larger lots and cooler temperatures.

Buying a Home or Condo on Maui Isn't Always Easy
Step #1: Find a Realtor You Can Trust Your Business With
Working closely with a local Realtor is your quickest path to success if you are serious about owning your own slice of paradise. But, not just any real estate agent can help you secure the property of your dreams or get you top dollar for the property you need to sell. Just like in other professional service industries, all of us aren't operating at the same level.
There are serious, full-time realtors like myself who put in the day-to-day work, have a proven track record of results, and work relentlessly for their clients. Then there are realtors who are hobbyists. Most realtors on Maui are in the hobbyists' category.
Step #2: Refine Your Search Criteria and Do The Homework Together
Working closely with a realtor like myself, you'll establish the criteria for the search and we will make sure that the moment a new property meeting your desires hits the market, we get an update. Once we have identified a property of interest, we will do our homework on getting more detail such as getting a video, doing a video walkthrough together, or seeing the property in person.
If everything looks good, then we will run the numbers together, look at comps and see how the price compares. We will use all of that research to put together our best offer based on what the market interest is in the property as well. I help my clients at every single point in the process and take pride in not only securing my clients the deals they want, but helping them avoid any potential mistakes by going the extra mile in the research department.
Post Covid19 Real Estate on Maui
As the world continues to shift from the Coronavirus pandemic the impact on the real estate market is certain. The degree to which it affects the market is yet to be determined entirely. We do know, however, that the best investment opportunities exist in an unstable market where more sellers than usual are likely to accept offers below market value.
While most realtors on Maui don't expect a repeat of 2008 with a prolonged housing crisis, there is likely to be some increase in inventory and a shift towards a buyers market, even if only temporarily. In the long run, we should see this as a healthy correction to a market that had burned slightly past its peak. There should also be an increase in Maui condos for sale which will help the overall market.
