Content published prior to August 8th, 2023. The Aina Nalu offers one of the best value propositions as a short-term rentable condo investment on West Maui. A perfect blend of convenience and amenities, this boutique complex is just a block off of Front Street where you can easily walk to dine at several of Lahaina's best restaurants.
As of 2023, the $900,000 price barrier was recently broken for a 2bd/2bth unit. These floorplans are perfect for vacation rentals and these units have been known to return 70-80k a year in gross revenue. On a yearly, basis, only a handful of these units come up for sale, attesting to their value as investments. Beyond their appeal as an investment, owners enjoy the laid-back community feel of the development.
Originally built in 2005, these units are relatively new by Maui standards, and since the county passed a moratorium on building new short-term rentable condo projects, you can be sure there won't be a lot of completion in Lahaina for Airbnbs.
Resort Features
On-site amenities include a recreation area, multiple barbecue grills, cabanas, security monitoring, and two swimming pools. The larger pool is a Balinese saline infinity pool and a smaller pool located in the center of the resort is referred to as the Makai.
One other popular feature within the resort is the open-air poolside pavilion, equipped with a 60” TV and wet bar, as well as ample seating and a large countertop for prepping food, it is the perfect space for gathering with family and friends.

There are 190 condos in the complex, ranging from one and two-bedroom layouts that vary in their square footage between 252 and 876. Each unit is equipped with a full kitchen, quality fixtures, spacious rooms, laundry facilities, TV, high-speed internet access, and more.
