A division of Pioneer Mill Company reportedly cultivated the site between 1988 and 2001. In 2003, James Falconer established MauiGrown Coffee, Inc. The company re-opened the coffee plantation and today it uses the land in Kaanapali to raise Hawaiian coffee beans for the specialty coffee marketplace in a joint venture with Kaanapali Land Management. Developers released the first sites for sale here in 2015.
