Rural Living on Maui

Most of Haiku is zoned agricultural and lends itself to larger properties. Because of this, its become a popular place to own on Maui. The properties in Haiku are diverse and include older plantation-style homes, newer concrete constructions, and full-blown estates with incredible ocean views. Lower Haiku is along the Hana Highway and receives a little bit less rain than Upper Haiku which is more rainforest with lush landscapes and large farms. Haiku Hills and Haiku Makai are two of the most desirable subdivisions in Haiku with large lot sizes and a smaller number of lots.
