The West Maui neighborhood of Launiupoko is one of Maui's most unique and beautiful areas. Perched on the hillside below the West Maui mountains and above the gentle waves of breaking at Launiupoko Beach Park, this agriculturally zoned community features several subdivisions known as Makila Ranches, Makila Nui, Makila Plantation, Mahanalua Nui, and Pu'unoa Estates. 

Halfway through 2024, the real estate activity in Launiupoko has been slower than usual with new listings outpacing buyers.  At the time of writing this, there are 20 properties for sale in the neighborhood with a range of $1.5M(for vacant land) to $16.9M (454 Wailau) with only 1 of them currently under contract ( a new construction home in Makila Ranches). 8 homes have sold in Launiupoko since the beginning of the year with an average sales price of $3.045M and the highest sale being 747 Kai Hele Ku which went for $5M in April.

Launiupoko is traditionally a pretty dry area with abundant sunshine. Being so close to so much great surfing and ocean activities, living in the community makes getting ocean time second nature.
